Thunderbolt Meter

The Active Lightning Rod is designed to count and record the lightning strike that the system has captured in lightning protection systems such as the Franlin Bar (Capture Ucu) and Faraday Cage (Cage Method).

The thunderbolt meter connects to the lightning landing line as "serial" and detects the pulse current caused by the lightning discharge current and records it with the numeral on each pulse.

With the thunderbolt meter you can follow the operation of your lightning protection system and keep records of the operation of the system. The lightning meter is necessary for determining whether the lightning system is lightning-activated. If the installation has received a lightning strike, periodic maintenance must be carried out after lightning and earth resistance should be measured and the installation should be examined against a possible damage.

The device does not require any maintenance within its operating limits.

It is advisable to plan a lightning bolt for each 100 meters on projects where a very low landing has been done and a lightning protection system with a very long neck is used.
