According to the EN 469: 2005 standard, firefighters had to be dressed to have level 1 protection depending on their level of protection, and having two levels of protection would have defined two different dresses as dressers.
Level 1 dresses are dresses to be used with lower risk applications. Reduces heat and alement resistance values and provides mutual protection against water and heat stress.
Level 2 is a dresser that can be used in high-risk environments. These clothes have a higher level of protection than heat and alement resistance values and water and heat stress level 1 clothes.
According to EN 469: 2005 standard, this distinction is basically carried out in 4 different experiments. Two other testers are applied in two dresses. Depending on these basic 4 different tests, the dresses are called level 1 and level 2.
The four basic tests that distinguish them as level 1 and level 2 are summarized as follows. Also marking on the dress is determined according to these tests. Marking information is given on the table according to the tests.
If the dress has received level 1 of any of the tests below, it is understood that the others are level 2 and the level of the dress is "1"
